I was born in 1980 at Forest Gate Hospital in London, UK [is that too much info?] to Caribbean parents. A bit of a 'dude' growing up, the nickname “Ms Real Talk” was given to me because, I always speak my mind and quite often say aloud what others only dare to think. That said, I consider myself to be one who is constructively opinionated [ahem], albeit I know there will usually be at least one person who is offended by something I say, or do. Oh well.... Except for my hair, I keep it real with others and myself which, I think, is important!
I have worked extensively within media and entertainment, as well as youth services. Most notably with a formidable company named Chain Reaction on their T.I.E projects [as an actress] and as a Workshop Facilitator in schools and local communities where the focus is instilling confidence and building self-esteem. I must say, youth work is by far the most rewarding type of job I believe there is!
My attitude to life is, "get it before it gets you" [think about it]. My attitude to the world is, "get your head around the fact that some people are shady but, you will always have the option to not be around such people" and my attitude to everything else is, "if it feels good and doesn't have a negative impact on anyone else, stick with it".
Like most people, including yourself no doubt, I have so many interests and passions, I'm skilled in a number of fields and have a LOT [ha-ha] to say about them. I cannot always do this via radio so, I use this blog to share my thoughts and feelings, or to introduce you to things I've discovered such as new talent, or tips on how to stay focused when looking for a job etc.
My aim is to inform, inspire, encourage and promote all things fun and wholesome in a way that is genuine and true in line with my own beliefs and to offer a platform of opportunity to others where possible! Nothing more and never anything less.
